Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 16, 2026
Welcome to A/B Test Pro (abtestpro.com). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use our website and statistical calculator tools (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect (and Do Not Collect)
A/B Test Pro is designed to function without user accounts or registration. The data we interact with falls into three distinct categories:
1.1. Calculator Inputs (Processed Locally, Never Sent to Us)
Our tools require you to input numeric data (such as baseline conversion rates, audience sizes, and expected lift) to generate statistical models.
- Computed in Your Browser: All calculations run entirely on your device. Your numeric inputs are never transmitted to, logged by, or stored on our servers. There is no calculation API and the data never leaves your browser.
- Non-Identifiable: These inputs are numeric statistical parameters and are not personally identifiable.
1.2. Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you choose to contact us regarding support, partnerships, or general inquiries by email, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The contents of your message
1.3. Automatically Collected Data (Analytics & Log Files)
To understand how our website is used and to ensure it functions correctly, we use Google Analytics (loaded only after you grant analytics consent) together with the standard infrastructure logs of our host. Depending on your consent, this may include:
- IP addresses
- Browser types and versions
- Device information (e.g., operating system)
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation paths
- Broad geographic region (e.g., city or country level)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following limited purposes:
- To Provide the Service: Running the statistical calculations locally in your browser. Your inputs are not sent to us.
- To Communicate with You: Using the contact details you provide by email solely to reply to your inquiries and provide support.
- To Improve Our Website: Using aggregated Google Analytics data to understand user behavior, fix technical issues, and optimize the user experience.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small data files placed on your device. We keep our use of them minimal:
- Necessary (Consent Cookie): We store a single first-party cookie (
ab_consent) that records your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on every visit. This cookie sets no tracking identifiers. - Analytics (Optional): Google Analytics cookies are only loaded after you grant analytics consent.
- Consent & Region: In opt-in regions (the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Québec) we load no analytics cookies until you accept. Elsewhere you can opt out at any time via the banner or the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. We always honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal.
- Opting Out: You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies. Furthermore, you can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data for monetary compensation. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate our website. These providers act as our data processors:
- Vercel (Hosting and Infrastructure): Our website is hosted on Vercel. When you load A/B Test Pro, standard request data such as your IP address and browser user-agent passes through Vercel's global edge network to deliver the pages securely and quickly. (Your calculator inputs are not among this data; they stay in your browser.) Vercel may temporarily retain server logs to detect and prevent security threats (like DDoS attacks).
- Google Analytics: To analyze website traffic and user behavior.
These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own independent marketing purposes.
International transfers. Our providers (including Vercel and Google) may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. For visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Lawful Basis: We process your contact information based on your explicit consent or our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiries. We process analytics data only with your explicit consent via our cookie banner.
- Your Rights: You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data. You may also restrict or object to our processing and request data portability.
- Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent (for example, analytics), you may withdraw it at any time via the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. This does not affect any processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
- To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at the email address below.
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know and Delete: You have the right to request what personal information we collect, use, and share, and to request its deletion.
- Right to Opt-Out of "Sharing": While we do not sell data for money, using Google Analytics is legally considered "sharing" personal information under California law. You can opt out of this tracking at any time by clicking the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of our website, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honour automatically.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
7. Data Retention
- Calculator Inputs: Never collected. They are processed only in your browser and never reach us.
- Contact Inquiries: Retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, after which it is routinely deleted.
- Analytics Data: Retained according to our configuration within Google Analytics (typically 14 months) before automatically expiring.
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
A/B Test Pro is a business-to-business (B2B) tool intended for use by adult professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (the threshold under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) or under 16 (the digital-consent age under the GDPR). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version, and any material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
10. Who We Are & How to Contact Us
